T.A.M.P.A. has been helping wounded warriors since we learned of "Maxwell's Hall" at Camp Lejeune in December of 2005. Here are just some of the ways that we keep involved....
WOUNDED WARRIOR FAMILY HAS THEIR NEW TIRES!!!!
September 25, 2013
We were very honored to get the Clark family 'rolling'
along on brand new tires. Through a very generous donation
we were able to set this up and mark another chapter in our journey...
We actually were able to negotiate a good deal on the tires so there was even a little bit of spending monies left which they can use however they see fit.
A wonderful young family who is just facing some very hard times.
T.A.M.P.A. assisted the Tunnel To Towers Foundation with the Lt. Dan Band Concert in Tampa, May 10, 2013.
Providing and managing over 125 volunteers to work the event. Set up, tear down, ticket sales, VIP care, we did it all.
A successful night for our local Wounded Warrior Sgt. Mike Nicholson with over 3,000 in attendance.
It was truly and honor!
Wounded Warrior Mike Nicholson getting some TLC at the concert!
What a great show of support from the Tampa Bay community!
During the holiday season we chose to help out 4 families at the Tampa VA by collecting donations for Christmas Baskets. What a joy it was to deliver them in person and have a chance to visit and share with the families.
June 2011: Wilson's WW Florida Vacation Happens!!!
On June 1st the Wilson's arrived in Tampa for their weeks stay. Through the donations of numerous supporters, organizations and businesses the trip was a wonderful success. Dinosaur World, Lowry Park, Florida Aquarium, Clearwater Beach, spa day for Ashley, hunting trip for Jonathan and many sunny hours spent splashing and having fun in the pool were just some of the highlights of the trip.
In the fall of 2010 we made the
Wilson family our newest wounded warrior project. Funds were raised for
a complete 10 day Florida vacation for the family; USMC WW Veteran
Jonathan, wife Ashley and sons Preston & Hunter. Generous
donations provided hotel accommodations, visits to many local
attractions, hunting trip for Jonathan, spa day for Ashley, meals and
spending monies. Unfortunately a few days before there arrival Preston
had an accident (jumping off the couch) and broke his leg. The vacation
had to be postponed, but ALL monies and gifts for the trip have been
put on hold until the family can come in the Spring.
Special thanks to the following organizations & businesses
for their contributions in making the Wilson's trip a complete success: Black Dagger Military Hunt Club, Dave WintersGreg HolmbergAtlantic Blue, Arnie - Rowdy - CameronVuzix Corporation, James Donnelly & Steve Glaser Wyndham Tampa Westshore, Connie PaulInterContinental Tampa, Deborah GuchThe Catering Company, Sharon SilverPat SchenckRiverview Memorial VFW Post 8108, Laura Copeland - CommanderRiverview Memorial VFW Post 8108 Ladies Auxiliary, Norrine Forest - PresidentRiverview Memorial VFW Post 8108 Mens Auxiliary, Dave Schenck, PresidentArmed Forces Military Museum, Nadine Piazza
We were able to purchase, through the FL Braive Fund grant, the new book "Our Daddy Is Invincible" by Shannon Maxwell. T.A.M.P.A.'s very own Celine D. (sister of ww Adam) wrote a small excerpt for the book about her brother and is featured with other ww families.
