From Your President ...

My dearest family & friends:

I must first thank God for bringing me to this position and allowing me the privilege of serving T.A.M.P.A. for the past 9 years. I know that He had a plan from the very beginning, one that I wouldn't understand at first, but he knew all along the desire in my heart to help our military. All the pieces of His puzzle would come together during Adam's injury and recovery and further confirm His work through me. I thank Him for daily giving me the strength, courage and wisdom to do this job and I pray He will continue to bless the work I am doing for Him through T.A.M.P.A.

I'd like to thank my family for all the sacrifices that they have made to help me serve in this position. They have given up many meals, a clean house, clean laundry, family time and numerous weekends to support me and work with me to lead the group in a positive direction. Their love and commitment is constant and when I get discouraged and worn out they come to my rescue. Richard, Adam, Kym, Ammie & Celine you are the true heroes in my life and I love you all with everything that I am.

To all the faithful and hardworking members of T.A.M.P.A. a huge "thanks" for making this group the awesome success that it has become. I could have never imagined that meeting other Marine parents online and then in a small coffee shop in Brandon, FL would have led to all that the group has become. You inspire me daily to lead our group to be everything that it can be not only in the city of Tampa but throughout the state of Florida and beyond.

All the long hours and hard work have been worth every minute. When I get a call from a desperate mom who's son or daughter is on their first deployment and I hear the anguish in their voice, I remember walking in those shoes not so very long ago and I draw strength from my experiences so that I can help to comfort them and give them hope and encouragement for the long days ahead. These are just some of the moments that make me believe and know that we are doing a very important job, one that must be carried on for all the families who are currently on their Marine Corps journey and all the ones who will be in the future.

We have laid a solid foundation for T.A.M.P.A. and together we can continue to build a strong organization that will stand the tests of time and be here for our Marines and their families for many generations. It is my privilege and honor to serve as your President.

Sincerely,

Cyd Deathe
