Subject: Please Give Generously

Someone forwarded to my inbox a plea for donations for a certain upcoming surprise event for a very special young Marine who is a SCI patient. I visited this young and proud Soldier who is now confined to a wheelchair, yesterday, as his mother stood by his side...I was humbled.

My hope and prayer is that one day soon, when I return to visit him...that his room will be empty and so will the wheelchair....no longer needed.

I encourage anyone reading this to PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY to this cause.

In memory of CPL. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all the Parents of Marines in our group and to the families of the the Marines in the T.A.M.P.A. "family". Bob and I are blessed to be a part of this large family! A special hug to Cyd and her family. We all would not be here today if it were not for her and her dedication!

Thank you to all of the BRAVE men and Women who fight and have fought for our country. I shudder to think that there are brave men and/or women who are POW/MIA who have not been reconciled with their loved ones at HOME. God Bless the POW/ MIA. I can not even imagine the price you pay for MY FREEDOM and the freedom of my children and future generations. God Bless the families that endure the uncertainty, the unknowing, the terrors. May our Eternal Father grant our BRAVE the endurance for this race, and our families at home the same endurance for hope and faith int he return of our loved ones.

I have just found this site and I am so grateful for it. My son graduated from Parris Island this past January, he is currently based at Camp Pendleton, CA and I miss him terribly. He leaves for Afghanistan on October 25th and I know I am going to need help and support from other Mom's that have gone through this experience.

Cyd,
I have just given a deceased Marine's sister your website for her to contact. SSgt Ergin Osman and her name is Leyla Balaskas. I know you can help her with questions she is sure to have. They have already buried SSgt Osman with full Marine honours, but she has other questions that I'm sure you will have answers for that I don't.
