Searching for Loans Near Me For A Loft Conversion

I only ever go up into my attic twice a year; the first time to get my Christmas decorations down and the second time to shove them back up there again. I don’t even have that many decorations. Just a tree, some lights, coloured tinsel and other assorted trinkets that I wrap around or stick on the tree and throughout my home. We’re talking maybe three or four boxes total, including the tree. But the attic is huge. All that space pretty much wasted.

I have a three bedroom house and three children. The youngest two share a bedroom, my eldest has his own and then of course the last bedroom is mine and my wife’s. Whilst the rooms are all decent sizes, I’m pretty sure my youngest two kids would be happy to have their own spaces. In fact, I’m pretty sure that they’re desperate to have their very own rooms and be rid of their sibling. Which got me thinking. I love my home and have no intention moving, ever, but there must be something I can do here so that everyone can be happy. Then it hit me.

The attic! Tons of space that is simply unused. I thought, why not get a loft conversion?! I felt a bit stupid that I’d never even thought of the idea before. It seems so simple and so damn obvious. There’s room for two full size bedrooms up there, both with en suites. If I end up having even more children (let’s hope not) there’ll be more than enough room for the whole family.

So I hopped on the phone and got a few quotes and my newfound dreams were shattered almost instantly. I didn’t believe the first guys quote, or the second, but after another painful conversation with a third company I finally accepted reality.

Loft conversions are damn expensive! I was hoping to pay for it out of my own money but not with those prices. I just don’t have that kind of money sitting around. Who does?

But by then I was enamoured with the idea and was pretty certain that this was the route to take.

With my trusty laptop in front of me, I made a few google searches and jumped back on the phone.

I searched for loan places near me and around my area and literally had too many to choose from. An abundance of companies offering to loan me the exact amount of money I needed with more than reasonable repayment rates. Oh, I found most of the companies here by the way.

So it looks like Operation Attic Conversion is a go!

Very Cheap Car Insurance No Deposit – Vacation almost ruined

Our Disney World Vacation was Almost Ruined

My little family consists of my wonderful husband, two daughters and myself. We try to spend at least one week each summer doing something we all enjoy, making family memories. We started planning this year’s summer vacation eighteen months ago. All of us are excited because we’re going to Disney World. Yes, the magical place where every kid, and most adults, dreams of going. We have everything mapped out from departure to return and expect this to be the best family vacation yet. We even purchased a new van and found very cheap car insurance no deposit required. Well, up until a few unexpected turns of events almost crushed that dream.

It was the end of the school year and we were out celebrating the good grades our girls received during the semester. We took them to a trampoline park and for pizza afterwards. We go to this place all the time, as it’s our girls favorite spot and we always get free tokens during visits and discounts for future visits. Therefore, we love it too. This particular evening was relatively crowded, we assumed it to be the end of school crowd. While inside, some of the older teens were horse playing on one of the trampoline sets. Out of concern, we removed our girls from the area and alerted employees that someone may get hurt. They cleared the area of those engaging in unsafe behavior and told us we could return to the area. Our girls were grateful because this is their favorite part of the park.

Once they were back and playing, all seemed to be okay when out of nowhere, this really tall teenager lunged into the trampoline bar, striking our nine-year old in the head. It all happened so fast and I couldn’t move but my husband sprung to his feet and was by her side in seconds. This frightened our seven-year-old of course, and there was blood running from my little girl’s head. We had no idea how bad it was but all I knew is that my baby had been hurt. Employees rushed over but we insisted on taking her to the ER immediately and didn’t bother to sort out miniscule details.

Our little girl went through a series of test and finally the doctor came in to tell us that everything would be okay. He said she had no internal bleeding or bruising and the only thing he prescribed was an ice compress, a good night’s rest and a great time at Disney World next week.  Needless to say, we were primarily concerned with her well-being but our summer vacation was a blast and all the kids talk about now.

Who has the cheapest auto insurance?

calling my insurance company

Hey guys and girls!

I’m looking for some cheap auto insurance. Found this interesting site: http://www.autoinsurancemonkey.com. They have an interesting post on auto insurance “Who has the cheapest auto insurance?

From what I understanding reading the article above is that there is no such thing has cheapest auto insurance. Prices are decided by way too many factors like where you live, and your car, driving record and more.

But there’s one thing they don’t account for… Military service.

If you or your spouse is or was in the military you may be eligible for some pretty big discounts you’re not aware of.

A lot of the insurance quotes websites I found didn’t factor that in, you had to call in and talk with an agent.

Fortunately for me I had a boring monday with nothing better to do. So after 2 hours of calling as many auto insurance companies as I could I was able to snag an awesome deal on some full coverage car insurance.

Overall I was able to save 20% on auto insurance. Not bad for 2 hours work!

Now I just need to make the some calls for my and my husbands life insurance. Sighhh, maybe next month lol.

Calling in multiple insurance companies is not fun. I really want someone to think of a better way to compare insurance rates. The site above is great, but is to generic for some people. Guess it feels good to be in the 1% in something. Even if it means I’m a pain in the butt customer!

Anyway I really didn’t want my first post to be moaning about car insurance, unfortunately this is life!

Hope you guy’s stick around for more. Hopefully I’ll have something more fun to share.
