Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - - - Margaret Mead
T.A.M.P.A. is not only a support group but a Florida non profit organization that is continually working to raise funds to help our military. We are a dedicated group striving to help in many different areas always reaching out wherever and whenever it is possible.
Donations are gladly acccepted and appreciated.
Through the FL Braive Fund Grant we were able to purchase 800 Wounded  Warrior Handbooks which will be distributed, FREE of charge, to OIF/OEF wounded warriors and their families
throughout central Florida in 2010.  If you know of a ww or ww family in need of this handbook please contact us immediately so that we can arrange to provide them with the book.

In 2009 we collected over 700 used cell phones.  Christmas just ended and
thousands of people received new cell phones as gifts.  This is the prefect time to
help us with our project.  This ongoing fundraiser provides income for
our monthly operating expenses and also allows us to keep all of our projects going strong.  We need
your continued help. Please visit our 'cell phone donation' link bleow and learn what you can do.
Then you can spread the word to EVERYONE.  It is a free and easy way to help us make things happen!
Care packages flow on a continued basis. Our first "signature piece" was an inspiration from Cyd's son after his first deployment and has become a tradition we continue to carry on today. Home made field pillows are sewn by a member of our group and are a great addition to each box that we send, for the first time, during deployments.   These pillows are made out of patriotic material. They are convenient enough to roll up small, lightweight and can easily go anywhere. They draw great reviews from the troops and have become a much requested item.

Peet's coffee, cigars and helmet liners are also a special addition that we can add due to faithful supporters.  When our coffers are low and we need financial assistance for shipping costs, Lea's Prayers & Postage (founded by our Gold Star Mother, "Momma Dee") ALWAYS steps in to make sure the packages are sent!
We continually collect old cell phones to help raise fund for our operating expenses and projects. Any cell phones that cannot be turned into cash are donated to a local company who uses them for calling cards for deployed troops. We have supported 3 different field hospitals that take care of our combat wounded sending many different specific items that are in need and being requested. For Christmas 2005, along with holiday care packages for the troops, we collected dog treats and toys to send to K9 units that were deployed who could not get these items for the dogs that work so hard to help bring safety to our troops. School supplies were collected for a local Air Force base elementary. We are always busy!

Some of our care packages include;
On the Go Ping Pong!

Tools collected for Army unit in Iraq

Supplies donated to
Hope 4 The Warriors in NC!
Along with our own projects we also contribute to many groups and organizations including but not limited to: American Legion & Auxiliary Post #5, Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home, Hope For The Warriors, James A Haley VA Hospital/Haley House, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Marine Graduation Foundation,   Marine Corps Marathon, Operation Warmheart, Sew Much Comfort, Silver Star Families of America, Soles For Souls (a shoe donation project inspired by a young Marine deployed to Haiti), Toys For Tots, and WW BN East/Camp Lejeune.
