Featuring: Florida Fallen Memorial

In coordination with the national “Run for the Fallen,” the Tampa Area Marine Parents Association/T.A.M.P.A. has again organized this FREE memorial event. T.A.M.P.A. hopes to educate the communities on the sacrifices being made each day by our military men, women and their families. It also allows the organization to honor it’s promise to Gold Star Families that we will NEVER let their loved ones or they’re sacrifices be forgotten. Last year 17 Gold Star Families attended traveling from as far away as Gainesville and Pensacola.
T.A.M.P.A.’s goal each year is to have a walker/runner representative for each of Florida’s fallen. Each participant receives a bib with the name, picture and information of a specific fallen hero from Florida.
Participants included active military from MacDill AFB, USMC 4th Amphibious Reserve Center, Recruiters, Veteran Organizations, JROTC Cadets and many patriotic supporters throughout the Tampa Bay community, the state of Florida and beyond.
Returning again this year we will be the Florida Fallen Memorial. A display of crosses, with names, dates and pictures of each of our states Fallen from both Operation Iraqi Freedom/OIF and Operation Enduring Freedom/OEF. The Memorial is on loan to the event by Mr. Jim Vanderbleek of St. Petersburg.

We will again need the full support of our communities to make this event a success.
